Austrian Tenor Stefan Berghammer is a very versatile singer, at home in both solo and ensemble singing at the highest level. He is a permanent member of the renowned Netherlands Chamber Choir and of the internationally famous Huelgas Ensemble (Paul van Nevel), specialists in Renaissance music.
With the Huelgas Ensemble Stefan won numerous prices in recent years as there are the "Edison Klassik price" 2007, the "Echoklassik Preis" 2010, La "Clef de Mois Resmusica" 2014, "Diapason D`or" 2014, "Choc de Classica" 2014, "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" 2014 and the "Diapason d`Or de l`Annče" 2014.
He also intensively works together with the Egidius Quartet, with Cappella Amsterdam, with the NDR Radio Choir Hamburg, the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart, the Klangforum Heidelberg and Ensemble Currende.
His busy concert schedule has brought him to the most important music festivals in Europe, the United States, Thailand, Singapore and Israel. Stefan’s concert repertoire spans all genres of music, from Renaissance and Baroque to Contemporary.
He holds a Master of Music Degree in Singing Teaching from the University Mozarteum in Salzburg and a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the Royal Academy of Music in London.
